Overview

Stellar Mammals is my music project. I write, compose, produce, and mix the records, mostly in an apartment a few blocks from Venice Beach. Since 2022 I’ve released seven albums, starting with instrumental tracks for flow, reflection, and relaxation, and moving toward jazz-infused beats and, most recently, house.

Making music is also where a lot of my thinking about finishing things comes from. A pile of unfinished songs is what led me to build Playback Pilot.

• Jacob Burgdorf (trumpet, co-writer) on the last three albums, starting with Chop Wood, Carry Water
• LosA (vocals) on seven of the twelve tracks of Palm Tree Party, my first record with a dedicated vocalist
